BEI’s Yoshida: Gurren Lagann TV Plans Not Finalized

Bandai Entertainment’s newly hired producer, Toshifumi Yoshida, acknowledged in a blog post that he is working on the English dubbed version of Gainax’s Gurren Lagann television anime with Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Aniplex producer Hiroe Tsukamoto. He also emphasized that although America’s Sci Fi Channel listed Gurren Lagann in its Ani-Monday timeslot for July 28, the deal has not been finalized. Still, Bang Zoom, Tsukamoto, and Yoshida are working to ensure that two new episodes of Gurren Lagann are ready every week starting in July if the television deal is completed. The cast of the English dub will be announced at FanimeCon this weekend at San Jose, California.
