The top-rated American quiz show Jeopardy devoted an entire category in the second round of Wednesday’s taped episode to “We Have Met the Anime.” The unofficial Jeopardy web archive lists the answers and questions in the category. The eventual winner of the day, Maryland pastor Dave Simpson (pictured at right), correctly finished the category except for two answers: “This classic 5-letter anime film isn’t named for director Kurosawa but rather a boy who destroys Tokyo” (US$800) and “One of the highest-grossing films in Japanese history is the anime film about this title 14th c. princess” (US$2,000).
